Botox

We are thrilled to announce that at Heritage Dental Centre, we will now be providing Botox cosmetic services to our patients.

You might wonder exactly how Botox and Dentistry are related?  Why would this service even be offered at a dental office?   The answer is simple, and that Botox and Dentistry really do go hand in hand.  Dentists have extensive and comprehensive knowledge of musculature, and anatomy of the face, head, and neck.   They are also accustomed to constantly giving injections of local anesthetic to these particular areas.  These skills are what makes Dentists the ideal candidates to provide this service.  Another benefit of seeing your Dentist for Botox treatments, it also provides a level of privacy and discreetness for the patient, by simply being able to say you have a Dentist appointment.

You may also have questions regarding the safety of Botox.  Botox has a long and well-established safety history.  While most people think of Botox as a wrinkle treatment, it has actually been in use for over 20 years for the effective treatment of a range of medical conditions.  Botox is used in Children’s Hospitals to help treat, infant hip disorders, malformation of feet in infants, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, due to the fact that it helps relax muscles. Botox is also one of the most researched medicines in the world.

Over the last year, Dr. Diana Germain has been attending the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics (PTIFA), and learning about Botox and the role that it plays in the medical and dental community, as well as receiving countless hours of hands on training on administering the cosmetic. Dr. Germain will be offering no obligation consultations regarding Botox treatment, and will answer any questions or concerns that you have regarding Botox.
